Why Are We Here?
Our congregation exists to proclaim the death, resurrection, and glorification of God's Son, Jesus Christ, in our community (1 Corinthians 11:26). We aim to share the knowledge of God with all people (1 Timothy 2:3-4). The establishment and growth of congregations in every city is an essential part of the Gospel plan. By loving one another as a family in the midst of a broken world filled with suffering, our congregation can open a window into the healing, peace, and unity that prevails in God's kingdom (John 13:34-35). When each one of us enters that kingdom through salvation in Jesus' name, God gives us the promise that no violence, no suffering, and no disease on earth can separate us from His love (Romans 8:37-39). When the end comes, those who love God will be raised from the dead to live with Him forever (1 Peter 1:3-5). Learn more about salvation.
We are equally committed to the unity of the church. It is our sincere desire and earnest plea that all of God's children would "speak the same thing," and that no earthly divisions such as background, race, or language would come between us as we worship and serve God (1 Corinthians 1:10). We strive to be Christians only – to base our faith, doctrine, and practice on the Bible only, for only on this foundation can we truly be one (Ephesians 2:19-22, 4:1-16). We believe that if each of us submits fully to Christ, all dividing walls between us will crumble as we work together in the hope of our coming resurrection (1 John 5:1-5).
