For years, our congregation has held a moderated discussion every Wednesday night, using the ancient practice of dialogue to strengthen our common understanding of Scripture. Every week, the qualified teachers in the church would individually study a the same list of questions about the passage under consideration, then come together on Wednesdays to share and discuss what they had found. We are not currently able to maintain this format, we fondly remember the growth that we have experienced together and the common hope and the unity that we have found in the Scriptures. We eagerly look forward to the day when we can resume this kind of study.
The last few years, our discussions have centered around the life of Christ as reported in all four Gospels. To provide a structure to our study, we have adopted the chronological and organizational structure used by J. W. Mcgarvey and Phillip Pendleton in The Fourfold Gospel. The questions were produced by members of our congregation, and all Scripture quotations come from the New King James Version (NKJV) unless otherwise noted.
Please feel free to make use of our study materials! We have benefited greatly from this study, and we are eager to share the same kind of hope and unity with you that we have found with one another.
